Damian Bell

Damian was born in Kenya and spent his early teens with his stepfather on various film sets and in the dark room. When he finished his formal education he worked with Simon Trevor, one of East Africa's most accomplished wildlife photographers based in Tsavo national park in Kenya. He then pursued an interest in feature films, working in several departments learning the world of the larger productions. He has travelled and lived in England, India and Chile working with film production, multi media and stills photography. In 1988 he returned to East Africa and started Sokwe Film in Tanzania with other family members. Since then, Damian has focused primarily with logistics and locations and has worked with all the production units that have passed through Sokwe Film.
