Film Permits
Requirements for filming in Tanzania:
To film in Tanzania, you are required to obtain a film permit. The cost of the official government Film Permit is $500. Application forms will be sent to you by Sokwe Film, to be filled out and returned to us. Sokwe Film will then submit them to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in Dar-Es-Salaam. The film Permit can take anything from 2 days to a week to obtain. We would like to stress that the information filled on the forms must be accurate and legible to ensure a speedy response.
Tanzania Government Permits
Sokwe Film requires the following documentation:
- A Letter of Appointment addressed to Sokwe Limited
- A synopsis or script for submission with official application forms
